Day to Day vs Fancy

Our new roommate has a definite line between her day to persona and her very fancy but untapped persona. On the outside she is known for choosing only the best and decorating with a meticulous eye. She has always had a very formal and fancy master bedroom that she has not slept in. But on a day to day basis she has always spent her time in a very casual and informal space surrounded by the stuff she needs (remote, magnifying glass, TV guide, nutter butters, pall malls)

Her day to day persona, for example, carries a very practical purse from TJ Maxx with pockets in all the right places. But her fancy persona has a need to collect very expensive purses. She buys them. And then stashes them in drawers. Several years ago she told us she got rid of them, but we have discovered 3 dressers full. Literally thousands of dollars worth of designer purses. Unused. tissue inside. Tags on. In their silks.
