THREE?

When T woke up this morning she immediately asked me what she could do. Because she is 8 and she was hoping she could just watch TV while I got my work done. Instead I gave her 10 options of things she hated and she came up with her own idea.

She would make a big breakfast for our new roommate as a surprise and serve her.

Scrambled eggs, toast with jelly, bacon, fresh coffee. All things she can make on her own (the bacon is that precooked microwave situation our roommate stocks up on). So T got to work - starting with a list of course - and then systematically made everything. She proudly served it and I heard her say “How is it?”. (Because when you’re 8 and you surprise your Grandma with breakfast you want to be praised. )

** Being that I was upstairs when I heard this I previously misunderstood the response. It had made me so angry that I finally broke down and asked T about it. Apparently she cracked 3 of Grandma’s knuckles. While she was eating. It’s a great visual but even better to know that Grandma didn’t rate her a 3 out of 10 on her efforts.

We have a 50% chance of our new roommate finding something about the meal to critique to me privately later so i won’t delete the post. =)
